Michael Edwards
Michael is a well-known and respected Heritage Consultant / Advisor and Town Planner in the Sydney and wider NSW areas, with over a decade of extensive experience.

Michael holds degrees in Heritage Conservation and Town Planning and has an employment background in Local and State Government as well as private practice. He has previously worked for Local Councils and with the Heritage Division of the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage.
He currently heads up Edwards Heritage Consultants, a respected and leading heritage consultancy in the northwest of Sydney, and is also Heritage Advisor to Cessnock City Council, Wingecarribee Shire Council and Georges River Council.
As an experienced Heritage Consultant / Advisor, Michael has a firm academic grounding in both the heritage conservation and town planning disciplines, together with extensive practical experience, providing a well-rounded approach to his work.
Through the provision of robust specialist advice, on-site consultation, professional reporting and representation, Michael has been facilitating and achieving successful outcomes for a diverse range of projects and Clients, including individual property owners, Local Councils and other government agencies, educational institutions, church groups, property developers and other professionals.
Michael is passionate about his work and values the opportunity to educate and inform his Clients in a constructive and positive way of the benefits of working with heritage.

Holly Challenger is an enthusiastic and vibrant Heritage Consultant with Edwards Heritage Consultants.

Holly’s experience and skills in history, research and conservation practice, impart a balanced approach to her work. Holly holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (majoring in Ancient Egyptian and Near Eastern History) from Macquarie University and a Masters degree of Heritage Conservation from the University of Sydney.
Holly’s portfolio of experience includes undertaking a wide range of heritage management documentation and assessments, report writing and comprehensive historical research, underpinned by practical hands-on skills and experience, having developed a sound knowledge of conservation theory and practice during her studies.
Having participated in an exchange program through her Bachelor of Arts degree at Rutgers University in the United States, Holly has gained unique experiences and perspectives in International conservation practice and heritage management.

Hisashi Nakahara
Hisashi Nakahara has wide experience working in building projects across Sydney and Melbourne, with particular focus in heritage conservation.

He has a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Melbourne, and a Master of Heritage Conservation degree from the University of Sydney.
Hisashi has a grounded background in the architectural and construction industry with wide portfolio of experience particularly focussed on conservation practice, having been involved in a wide variety of conservation projects that have ranged in their complexity of structural and construction requirements.
Hisashi’s architectural background brings a robust knowledge of the anatomy of buildings and structures and his practical experience in the construction industry allows him to facilitate workable balanced solutions with positive outcomes.
Hisashi is passionate about the historic built environment and actively participates in professional development within the industry, being an active member of Australia and Japan ICOMOS.
Annabelle Beazley
Annabelle Beazley is a fast-emerging historian with a passion for uncovering and exploring lesser-known historical narratives and aims to share those stories in meaningful ways that connects people and communities with our past.

Kiara Jodlowski-Tan
Kiara is an emerging heritage professional with a strong foundation in archaeology and a passion for celebrating cultural heritage.

She has a double degree in Arts and Science, specialising in ancient history, Latin language studies and animal biology. Currently, she is also undertaking her Master of Archaeology and Heritage Management through Flinders University, where her research focuses on recording and developing management strategies for an Aboriginal rock art site in Cape York.
Kiara has worked on heritage projects across NSW, the ACT and QLD. Her experience includes research, survey and excavation in both Aboriginal and Historical archaeology. She has also participated in archaeological excavations overseas in Israel. During her tertiary studies, Kiara trained as an excavation supervisor and exhibition project manager, aiding her development of strong leadership and organisational skills. Through various volunteering roles she has gained additional skills in conservation, cataloguing and archives.
